About the role

Introduction

A large-scale advanced manufacturing construction programme is seeking a Chemical Systems Project Manager for an on-site contract opportunity in Lafayette, Indiana. This role suits a technically strong project leader with deep experience across high-purity chemical systems, process utilities and construction delivery in regulated or high-specification environments.

Role Responsibilities

The role will lead planning, coordination, execution, commissioning support and turnover for chemical delivery systems within a complex construction environment.

Manage scope, schedule, risk and field execution for chemical systems work packages

Coordinate with design teams, contractors, vendors, safety teams and construction leadership

Oversee installation quality for bulk, specialty and hazardous chemical distribution systems

Support testing, flushing, leak checks, commissioning, acceptance and final handover

Track project status, constraints, risks, change items and mitigation actions

Promote strong safety practices in high-risk chemical and high-purity environments

Experience Requirements

10+ years' relevant construction experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, or comparable industrial environments

Strong background in chemical systems, process piping, high-purity utilities or process support infrastructure

Experience with cleanroom, high-purity, base build or tool installation workflows is preferred

Working knowledge of applicable industrial construction codes, standards and safety practices

Ability to manage contractors, stakeholders and technical issues in a fast-paced project environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document control practices

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field preferred

Equivalent field experience will be considered in lieu of formal education

OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training is preferred
