About the role

Introduction

A fast-moving consumer lending business is seeking a seasoned product leader to own the next generation of BNPL and credit offerings. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of product, credit strategy, customer growth, and risk discipline.

Role Responsibilities

You will own the full product lifecycle and end-to-end commercial performance of the lending offering, working closely with cross-functional partners to shape strategy, launch improvements, and optimise outcomes.

Own the P&L for the lending product and drive profitability through pricing, fee design, margin management, and risk-adjusted returns

Develop and manage first-line credit strategies across acquisition and portfolio management

Partner with Product teams to define the roadmap, value proposition, and go-to-market plan

Drive acquisition, activation, retention, and lifecycle journeys through data-led experimentation

Align Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Tech, and Marketing around launch and portfolio milestones

Build dashboards, test-and-learn frameworks, and cohort analytics to support rapid decision-making

Recruit, coach, and lead a multidisciplinary team supporting lending initiatives

Monitor market trends, embedded lending opportunities, and alternative data partnerships

Experience Requirements

5+ years of experience in financial services, ideally within consumer lending, banking, or fintech

Proven track record of launching, scaling, and managing credit products

Hands-on experience owning lending P&L and credit risk decisions

Strong analytical capability with large datasets and tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS

Experience leading analysts or cross-functional squads in a high-performance environment

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with senior leadership exposure

Knowledge of credit lifecycle levers from acquisition through collections

Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as finance, statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or data science

Masters degree preferred

CFA, FRM, PMP, or similar professional qualification is a plus
