About the role
Introduction
A fast-moving consumer lending business is seeking a seasoned product leader to own the next generation of BNPL and credit offerings. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of product, credit strategy, customer growth, and risk discipline.
Role Responsibilities
You will own the full product lifecycle and end-to-end commercial performance of the lending offering, working closely with cross-functional partners to shape strategy, launch improvements, and optimise outcomes.
Own the P&L for the lending product and drive profitability through pricing, fee design, margin management, and risk-adjusted returns
Develop and manage first-line credit strategies across acquisition and portfolio management
Partner with Product teams to define the roadmap, value proposition, and go-to-market plan
Drive acquisition, activation, retention, and lifecycle journeys through data-led experimentation
Align Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Tech, and Marketing around launch and portfolio milestones
Build dashboards, test-and-learn frameworks, and cohort analytics to support rapid decision-making
Recruit, coach, and lead a multidisciplinary team supporting lending initiatives
Monitor market trends, embedded lending opportunities, and alternative data partnerships
Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in financial services, ideally within consumer lending, banking, or fintech
Proven track record of launching, scaling, and managing credit products
Hands-on experience owning lending P&L and credit risk decisions
Strong analytical capability with large datasets and tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
Experience leading analysts or cross-functional squads in a high-performance environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with senior leadership exposure
Knowledge of credit lifecycle levers from acquisition through collections
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as finance, statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or data science
Masters degree preferred
CFA, FRM, PMP, or similar professional qualification is a plus
