A respected construction management consultancy is seeking an organised, hands-on Assistant Construction Manager to support delivery of complex on-site projects across the US. This role suits someone who enjoys coordination, documentation, and keeping multiple workstreams moving in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities
The Assistant Construction Manager will support project and construction managers with day-to-day coordination, document control, and site progress tracking. The role focuses on keeping the work organised, assisting with quality checks, and helping the wider team maintain schedule discipline.
Track daily progress across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP trades
Manage RFIs, submittals, and document control
Support schedule updates and look-ahead planning
Assist with QA/QC for concrete, steel, envelope, and early MEP rough-in
Help the commissioning team with pre-functional checklists and punchlists
Coordinate communication between site teams and project leadership
Experience Requirements
1+ year of experience in construction, project coordination, or a closely related role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfort working across multiple trades and document-heavy workflows
Ability to support fast-moving site teams and follow established procedures
Interest in data-centre construction or complex commercial builds is an advantage
Education Requirements
BSc, BTech, or diploma in the built environment preferred
Equivalent practical experience may also be considered
